Baltimore Attorney Nicole Schultheis Elected President of The TLPJ Foundation

Officers and Board Members Elected at Annual Membership Meeting

Nationally prominent trial attorney Nicole Schultheis of Baltimore's Schultheis & Walton, P.A. was elected President of The TLPJ Foundation on July 18, 1999, at the organization's annual membership meeting in San Francisco, California. The TLPJ Foundation is the nonprofit parent of Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (TLPJ), the national public interest law firm specializing in precedent-setting tort and damage litigation.

A member of The TLPJ Foundation Board since 1990, Ms. Schultheis founded her own firm. Her practice focuses on health care issues, including pharmaceutical products liability, toxic torts, professional malpractice, employment rights, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

"Nicole is one of our nation's most dedicated advocates of public justice," said outgoing TLPJ Foundation President Joseph A. Power, Jr. of Chicago's Power, Rogers & Smith. "We are honored to have such an outstanding attorney serve as our President."

Additional TLPJ Foundation Board Members from Maryland are: Gerald Holtz of Holtz & Foret in Chevy Chase; Kieron F. Quinn of Baltimore; Past President George Shadoan of Shadoan & Michael in Rockville; and Simon Walton, also of Schultheis & Walton in Baltimore.

One other attorney was elected as a new officer of The TLPJ Foundation:
President-Elect Peter Perlman of Peter Perlman Law Offices in Lexington, Kentucky.

Two attorneys were newly elected to the Executive Committee of the TLPJ Foundation Board:
Jeffrey M. Goldberg of Chicago's Jeffrey M. Goldberg & Associates; and
J. Gary Gwilliam of Gwilliam, Ivary, Chiosso, Cavalli & Brewer in Oakland, California.

Six attorneys were elected as new TLPJ Foundation Board members:
Danielle Banks of Philadelphia's Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young;
Steve Baughman of Baron & Budd in Dallas;
Madelyn Chaber of Wartnick, Chaber, Harowitz, Smith & Tigerman in San Francisco;
Jack Landskroner of The Landskroner Law Firm in Cleveland;
Albert M. Pearson, III of Atlanta's Mills, Moraitakis, Kushel & Pearson; and
Sandra H. Robinson of Jack H. Olender & Associates in Washington, D.C.
