The American Civil Liberties Union has put together legal explainers for students on a range of topics, including sex-specific dress codes, the rights of LGBTQ+ students, the rights of pregnant students, and discrimination based on race, ethnicity, or national origin
We join some cases at the district court level, often before filing or when plaintiffs replead complaints after a dismissal. We also regularly join cases to brief and argue appeals on behalf of student-plaintiffs, or to oppose cert petitions filed in the U.S. Supreme Court.
