Blythe is a summer law clerk in the Environmental Enforcement Project. She is a 3L at Vermont Law & Graduate School.
She has spent three semesters in the Vermont Law School Environmental Advocacy Clinic representing public interest clients in federal litigation and administrative proceedings under the National Environmental Policy Act and the National Forest Management Act. Before law school, she was the lead legal assistant handling the practice’s estate planning and estate administration matters. She is the secretary of the board of directors of a non-profit childcare center and sits on the Students and Young Professionals committee of the American Agricultural Law Association.
She graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a degree in political science; legal studies track, and a minor in biodiversity conservation. While in undergrad she volunteered with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources to test harvested deer for Chronic Wasting Disease. Additionally, she took a semester off to work for the Utah Department of Natural Resources as an Aquatic Invasive Species Technician to decontaminate watercraft coming from waterbodies with invasive species. She was also a camp host at the state park, where she fostered and subsequently adopted her soul dog.
She currently lives in Vermont with her husband and young son. After law school, she plans to return to the southeast where she grew up to continue practicing environmental and agricultural law in a rural community.
