International Union v. Johnson Controls
Our amicus brief helped persuade the U.S. Supreme Court in International Union v. Johnson Controls that a battery manufacturer’s fear of future tort liability cannot justify its “fetal protection policy” of banning non-sterile women from all jobs involving lead exposure. The Court agreed that the policy is blatant, illegal gender discrimination.
