We filed an amici brief in Florida state court, objecting to a proposed $76 million settlement in this class action lawsuit alleging acts of cemetery desecration. We argued that the settlement would prevent class members from opting out their claims for punitive damages.  Former Public Justice Fellow Richard Frankel argued our objections, with assistance from Public Justice Attorney Leslie Brueckner. Our legal team also included Lawrence P. Kuvin of Fort Lauderdale and Public Justice’s Arthur Bryant.
