Major Gifts Officer

Greg Cork joined the Public Justice team as Major Gifts Officer in March of 2019. Prior to assuming this role, Greg ran his own consulting LLC, advising nonprofits on strategic and business planning, fundraising, organizational structuring, and board and talent recruitment.

Greg brings to Public Justice extensive nonprofit management and development experience. He most recently served as Executive Director of the Lever Fund, a nonprofit investor that partners with metrics-driven, high-impact social change enterprises in the DC Metro Area. Greg’s other previous positions include Executive Director of New Futures, a DC-based postsecondary scholarship and career navigation services organization; Founding Executive Director of the Inspired Teaching Demonstration Public Charter School; and President, CEO, and General Counsel of the Washington Scholarship Fund.

Greg is no stranger to the legal community. Before entering the nonprofit sector, he practiced as a corporate litigation attorney in Los Angeles and Washington, DC. Greg is a graduate of the University of Virginia (Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature) and of the University of Virginia School of Law.
