Kleinhesselink v. Stillwater Mining Company

Kleinhesselink v. Stillwater Mining Company

This lawsuit on behalf of a former mine safety coordinator sought compensation for his job-related emotional injuries from the Stillwater Mining Company in Montana.  The Montana Supreme Court ruled in 1996 that workers can sue their employers for job-related emotional injuries, since the state’s workers’ compensation system provides no compensation for them.  The case ultimately settled just before trial.  James Molloy of Helena, MT was lead counsel. Public Justice Attorney Adele Kimmel was co-counsel.
