Last year was a particularly exceptional one in Public Justice’s ongoing work to create real change in the lives of people and communities throughout the country. The cases we took on – and the cases we won – will have positive, far-reaching consequences for years, and even decades, to come.
Our caseload is more robust, more diverse, and more strategic than ever before. In 2017 alone, the Public Justice team won numerous appellate victories in state and federal courts across the country.
For the first time, in addition to our groundbreaking legal work, we also launched a nationwide grassroots campaign, spearheaded by Public Justice’s first-ever outreach staffer. With your support, we have expanded our work, and our team, to build a national network of supporters who care about the issues at the heart of our litigation. Thanks to that new effort, we’re reaching more people, in more places, than ever before.
Whether we’re bringing cutting-edge lawsuits in the courts, or mobilizing communities to support or oppose issues, nominees or legislation, Public Justice’s work has never been more necessary than it is now. We hope the voices and the stories included in this report will make you proud of what we’ve accomplished together and inspired to continue our fight for justice for all.
