Brandon Reed
Assistant Controller
Brandon’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the organization’s day-to-day financial operations, supporting financial reporting and compliance, managing accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring adherence to GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards. He plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting strategic fiscal planning across the organization.
Prior to joining Public Justice, Brandon held various finance and accounting roles in the nonprofit sector, where he developed extensive experience in financial management, month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
Brandon’s previous experience includes Associate Director of Accounting at Prizmah: Center for Jewish Day Schools, where he led financial operations, collaborated with auditors, and oversaw compliance processes. He also served as Staff Accountant at Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, managing complex reconciliations and disbursements across multiple accounts.
Brandon holds a BS in Accounting and has extensive experience with nonprofit accounting systems including Sage Intacct, MIP, QuickBooks, and Bill.com.
