Leroy Hughes, Jr.
Vice President of Operations
Leroy Hughes, Jr. joined Public Justice in March 2020. Leroy’s primary responsibility includes oversight of national operations, human resources, information and technology as well as business management services supporting the organization’s east and west coast offices.
Prior to joining Public Justice, Leroy was employed as a senior executive with various local and national non-profit organizations where he acquired over 25 years of experience providing executive level supervision of multi-site operations and related administrative services.
Past employment included: Vice President, Operations, Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, Director of Operations, National Cherry Blossom Festival, Chief Operating Officer, CBM National Inc., Administrator, Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of New Orleans and Support Director, Teach For America. Leroy earned his BA from Louisiana State University and his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Troy University. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
