Yvonne Stewart

Legal Assistant

Yvonne Stewart joined Public Justice in 2011 as a Legal Assistant. She assists Executive Director Paul Bland, Senior Attorney Leah Nicholls, Cartwright-Baron Senior Attorney Karla Gilbride, and Access to Justice Attorney Stevie Glaberson on their many public-interest cases.

Yvonne has over 25 years of legal secretarial experience. She worked for two law firms — Williams & Connolly from 1989-1998 where she assisted various attorneys with civil suits and highly visible criminal cases; and Howrey LLP from 1998-2010 where she supported four associates and one partner. Before joining Williams & Connolly, Yvonne worked for the United Mine Workers of America Health & Retirement Funds, a group that provides health and pension benefits to retired coal miners and their eligible dependents.
