Public Justice Welcomes Four New Members to Organization’s Governing Board
The Public Justice Foundation’s membership has announced the election of four prominent legal advocates from across the country to the organization’s Board of Directors. Founded in 1982, Public Justice takes on the biggest systemic threats to justice of our time – abusive corporate power and predatory practices, the assault on civil rights and liberties, and the destruction of the earth’s sustainability. The Foundation’s Board helps guide the organization’s strategic priorities in litigation, advocacy, fundraising, communications, and operations and is comprised of advocates and litigators from across the United States.
“We are thrilled to welcome these inspiring leaders to the Public Justice Board,” said Public Justice CEO Sharon McGowan. “They each bring a unique perspective, and deep expertise, across a wide range of issues to our already diverse and impressive family of Board Members. From fighting for economic justice and the rights of consumers, to taking on drug companies and litigating class action suits, these four new members represent some of the most respected social justice litigators in the country. Their service and partnership will further amplify Public Justice’s commitment to ensuring our courts are open and working for all. I am excited to work with them as advocates for justice and stewards of this organization’s great legacy.”
Newly-elected Board President Ellen Presby of Ferrer Poirot Feller added, “I am so inspired by our new Board members. They are all high-energy, impactful people, who bring diverse perspectives from their very different career and personal backgrounds. Our organization will be even stronger with their input. I look forward to working with each of them to change the world in the way only Public Justice can.”
