Tabitha Woodruff
Access to Justice Project Outreach Attorney
Tabitha Woodruff joined Public Justice in July 2023 as the Outreach Attorney for the Access to Justice Project. She manages our network of litigators, organizations, and other allies who share our goal of a just and equitable civil court system.
Prior to coming to Public Justice, Tabitha was a disability rights attorney at Brockman Legal Services, Hickman & Lowder LPA, and on the Civil Rights and Community Integration Team at Disability Rights Ohio. In these roles, she represented people with disabilities in probate court, on Medicaid and Social Security appeals, and on Olmstead issues. During her five-year tenure at the Legal Aid Society of Columbus, she practiced law in both the Domestic Violence Unit and on the Community Development Team. From 2009 until 2023, she served as the Legislative Advocacy Co-Chair of the Central Ohio Rescue and Restore Coalition, expanding and strengthening coalition work on human trafficking locally and statewide. She currently volunteers as the Deputy Coordinator on the board of the Ohio Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.
Tabitha graduated from Wright State University summa cum laude in 2009 and from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2012. She is a member of the Ohio bar and the bar of U.S. Southern District of Ohio.
Tabitha is based out of Cleveland, Ohio, where she enjoys kayaking Lake Erie, collecting Wonder Woman comic books, and spending time with her rabbit Frederick Douglass, cat Pakpao, dog Niko, and spouse Orlan.
